Volleyball Recap: Hicksville Comes Up Short

Hicksville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Patrick Henry Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aces of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-17, 25-14.

Mika Inkrott paced Hicksville's offense, picking up six kills. Inkrott got some help from McKenna Baird and her 17 assists. Inkrott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Kensey Weber, who had seven digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 14 times she's played.

Hicksville's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Patrick Henry, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Hicksville will square off against Stryker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Patrick Henry, they will face off against Evergreen at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
