The Lucas Cubs will take on the Plymouth Big Red at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lucas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Lucas is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since May 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Mansfield Christian 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

Emma Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Destiny Foss was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Plymouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Monroeville, falling 18-4.

Kristy Yeager was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Lucas' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Plymouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Lucas beat Plymouth 7-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Do the Cubs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Big Red turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
