Baseball Game Preview: Huntsville Panthers vs. Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors

The Huntsville Panthers will head out to challenge the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Huntsville saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They fell just short of Anderson County by a score of 4-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steven Cavaco made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Owen Foreman also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Cavaco wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Huntsville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Whitesburg Christian Academy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against St. George's. They fell just short of the Gryphons by a score of 13-12 on Tuesday.

Huntsville's record now sits at 6-10. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
