Basketball Recap: Weston Ott and Braylon Mccoy Secure Win for Churubusco

Churubusco entered their tilt with Fairfield on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 43-38 victory over the Fairfield Falcons. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 61-50 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Leading Churubusco to victory were Braylon McCoy and Weston Ott. McCoy went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points, while Ott posted eight points and eight boards. Ott has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Churubusco's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Westview the next time they take the court. Churubusco will host Westview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Fairfield will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
