Chico put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Red Bluff Spartans as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Vinny Boatwright looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chico got a massive performance out of Jaxon Tweedt, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Bettencourt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Chico always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Bluff only posted an OBP of .400.

Chico pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Red Bluff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chico beat the Spartans by a score of 7-5 on Friday.
