Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Colusa walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the University Prep Panthers 2-1. The RedHawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Ava Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Colusa's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Nair, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Colusa's record is now 21-7. As for University Prep, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-11-2.

As of now, neither Colusa nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
