Basketball Recap: Montesano Gets the Win

Montesano had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 51-50 photo finish over the Aberdeen Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-21 back in December of 2024.

Montesano's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. As for Aberdeen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montesano will head out to face off against Hoquiam at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aberdeen, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Aberdeen Bobcats take on the Centralia Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
