Basketball Recap: Schurz's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Schurz had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Chicago Mathematics & Science 34-19 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2015.

Schurz's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schurz will challenge Noble Street College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Noble Street College Prep's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Schurz's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mather at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
