Emporia won the last time they faced East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Aces. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jade Xu paced Emporia's offense, picking up eight kills. Xu got some help from Kaylee DeWitt and her 21 assists.

Emporia's record is now 8-6. As for East, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Emporia has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Baldwin on the 16th. As for East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Wellington on the 13th.
