Recap: Richmond Red Devils vs. Heritage Christian Eagles
The Richmond Red Devils put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Heritage Christian on the road to the tune of 61-34. Considering Richmond has won ten matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Richmond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braiden Hogg led the charge by scoring 12 points. Another player making a difference was Julien Smith, who scored 11 points.
Richmond's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Richmond will look to defend their home court on Friday against New Castle at 7:30 p.m. New Castle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Richmond is ranked 15th). Heritage Christian and Tindley will face off at 7:30 a.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tindley has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
