Football Recap: Burroughs Skates Past Lancaster with Ease

Burroughs never let their opponents score on Monday. They claimed a resounding 39-0 win over the Lancaster Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Burroughs' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Kayla Duran with two sacks. Isabella Estrada got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Burroughs now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Burroughs will take on Westridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lancaster, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastside at 5:15 p.m. on September 2.
