Recap: Madison Mohawks vs. Waynesville Spartans
The Madison Mohawks were the 57-44 winner over the Waynesville Spartans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Madison fell 51-43 to Waynesville on Friday.
Despite the loss, Madison still got an impressive performance from Aiden Grooms, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Fayard, who scored 8 points.
Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Waynesville, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Madison will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Waynesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Brookville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Waynesville in Ohio (Brookville is ranked 61st, while Waynesville is ranked 277th).
