Central Valley extends road losing streak to four

Recap: Central Valley Falcons vs. West Valley Eagles

The Central Valley Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by West Valley 82-44. Central Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Sanderson, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Hayden Webster, who scored 11 points along with four steals.

Central Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as West Valley pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.

It was another big night for Jordan Heacock, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five assists for West Valley. Heacock is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Chase Kalnins was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and two steals.

Central Valley's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-22. As for West Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.

Central Valley will head out on the road to face off against Anderson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Yreka at 7:30 p.m. Yreka and West Valley are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
