Football Recap: Luke Epperson Key Part of Team Effort in Red Devils Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverview, Grosse Ile was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Dundee Vikings 27-10. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2020.

Grosse Ile's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Epperson led the charge by rushing for 80 yards and one touchdown. Another passer making a difference was Tanner Symons, who threw for 130 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Grosse Ile's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Christopher Budziak, William Weise, and Austin Hartwig, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Grosse Ile's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Dundee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

As of now, neither Grosse Ile nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
