Football Game Preview: McNair Mustangs vs. Worth County Rams + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the McNair Mustangs and the Worth County Rams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

McNair is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They enjoyed a cozy 34-16 win over Utopian Academy for the Arts last Friday. The matchup marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season.

McNair's defense made their presence known, laying out Khalif Morgan three times. Milek Adams was especially locked on to Utopian Academy for the Arts' QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, Worth County was able to grind out a solid win over Jeff Davis back in October, taking the game 26-14. The 26-point effort marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Worth County's win came from a few key players McNair will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Chester, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 50 receiving yards. He has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Worth County also got a significant boost from Treshaun Jones, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

McNair's record is now 3-7. As for Worth County, their record now sits at 10-0.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. McNair has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 262.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Worth County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 157.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
