Basketball Recap: Flint River Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Flint River Academy's game on Friday was all tied up 8-8 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Windsor Academy Knights by a score of 36-29. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 53-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kennedy Goldston was Flint River Academy's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Reagan Riner held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

Audrey Dobson and Kyndall Bowen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Dobson almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 boards, while Bowen posted 12 points and five steals.

Flint River Academy's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Windsor Academy, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Flint River Academy will take on Skipstone Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-33 defeat against Tattnall Square Academy on the 14th.
