Softball Recap: Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties vs. Tiverton Tigers

Mount St. Charles Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Tiverton Tigers. For Tiverton's part, Abby DeMello made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. DeMello has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances. DeMello was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
