Preview: Mangham Dragons vs. Centerville Bulldogs
Mangham has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Centerville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mangham's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five games.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mangham walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Lakeview 54-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Mangham, who have now won four matchups by 34 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Centerville's strategy against Oberlin on Thursday. Centerville enjoyed a cozy 40-26 victory over Oberlin. The win was familiar territory for Centerville who now have three in a row.
Jamari Ayrow continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 287 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. Ayrow was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. Bryson Thomas and his 89 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Centerville's victory.
Mangham has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 6-4 record. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39 points. As for Centerville, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
