With a playoff win on the line, Brecksville-Broadview Heights rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 54-32 margin over the Austintown-Fitch Falcons. The Bees have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Evans, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcel Finkley, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. Austintown-Fitch's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Brecksville-Broadview Heights will square off against Shaker Heights at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights will be up against Shaker Heights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.88 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Austintown-Fitch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
