Softball Game Preview: Argo Argonauts vs. Reavis Rams

The Argo Argonauts will challenge the Reavis Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Argo's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bremen as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The Argonauts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Reavis hadn't done well against Shepard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rams skirted past the Astros 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since March 21st.

Mariana Lara was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lily Fish, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Argo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Reavis, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
