Baseball Recap: Absegami Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Absegami's victory against Buena wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Braves narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Chiefs 10-8. The victory was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won three contests in a row.

Ben Domschine looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Adrian Rosario was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ben Caffarelli, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Absegami was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Absegami's record now sits at 14-6-1. As for Buena, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
