Softball Recap: Pleasant Valley Comes Up Short

Pleasant Valley dropped their record down to 39-15 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 8-1 to the West End Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 4th.

As for West End, they pushed their record up to 25-10 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For West End's part, Emma Franklin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Liddy Falkner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kennedi Nix, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Pleasant Valley nor West End have any future games scheduled.
