Softball Game Preview: Winnebago Indians vs. Dixon Dukes & Duchesses

The Winnebago Indians will head out to take on the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Winnebago fell victim to Oregon and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 8-0. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Winnebago saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyla Warkentien, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Warkentien is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Mylee Glaser also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Dixon lost 7-1 to Genoa-Kingston on Monday. The Dukes & Duchesses haven't had much luck with the Cogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Winnebago, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
