Volleyball Recap: Kecoughtan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kecoughtan came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Menchville Monarchs, falling 3-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Kecoughtan was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-22, 25-5.

Menchville was led to victory by Ava Carter and Emma Wade. Carter had eight kills, eight digs, and five aces, while Wade had five digs and three aces. What's more, Wade racked up 24 assists, the most she's had since back in September. Caroline Clements was another key player, getting nine kills and nine digs.

Kecoughtan now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Menchville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kecoughtan is set to challenge their familiar foe Denbigh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Menchville will face off against rival Bethel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
