Basalt took a 1-1 lead headed into the third set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 27-25, 20-25, 25-11, 25-22.
Leading Steamboat Springs to victory were Maizey Bringuel and Cam Romero. Bringuel had 25 digs, while Romero had six digs and 12 assists. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Romero now posted nine or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.
