Basketball Game Preview: Wallace Miners vs. Genesee Bulldogs

Wallace hasn't had much luck against Genesee recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wallace Miners are taking a road trip to face off against the Genesee Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Wallace didn't have too much trouble with Troy as they won 44-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Meanwhile, Genesee entered their tilt with Kendrick on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 61-38 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Genesee's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Wallace, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Wallace might still be hurting after the 65-39 loss they got from Genesee in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can Wallace avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
