Basketball Game Preview: East Wilkes Cardinals vs. Forbush Falcons

East Wilkes hasn't had much luck against Forbush recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The East Wilkes Cardinals will head out to take on the Forbush Falcons at 8:00 p.m. East Wilkes will be strutting in after a win while Forbush will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, East Wilkes turned things around against Grayson County on Monday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 49-42.

Meanwhile, Forbush was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Alleghany, falling 72-42.

Forbush's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for East Wilkes, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

East Wilkes came out on top in a nail-biter against Forbush when the teams last played on December 6th, sneaking past 60-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Wilkes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
