After a string of four wins, Winter Springs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lake Howell Silverhawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silverhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

While Winter Springs was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lake Howell's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-15.

Skyler Martinez paced Winter Springs' offense, picking up 12 kills. Martinez got some help from Zeke Register and his 14 assists.

Winter Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lake Howell, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Winter Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Tocoi Creek on the 11th. As for Lake Howell, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Timber Creek on the 9th.
