Softball Recap: South Knox Takes a Loss

South Knox extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-7 in the process. They fell 12-8 to the Forest Park Rangers. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Rangers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Forest Park, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

For Forest Park's part, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Randle, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits Randle has posted since back in April of 2024. Bree Howard also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Knox will square off against Shoals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forest Park, they will host Barr-Reeve at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
