Basketball Recap: Roncalli Jets vs. Brillion Lions
The Roncalli Jets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 76-69 to Brillion. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Brillion was led to victory by Amaya Brooks and Emma Schuh. Brooks scored 23 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Schuh dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schuh has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Hale, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Roncalli has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Brillion, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roncalli will take on the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Sheboygan County Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Brillion, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Valders presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in Wisconsin (the Vikings are ranked 106th, while the Lions are ranked 343rd).
