Basketball Recap: Easley Comes Up Short

Easley lost against Hillcrest two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Easley Green Wave took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Rams. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Easley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rj Stack went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Stack has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last seven times he's played. Drey Jackson was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Easley now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Hillcrest, their record now sits at an identical 12-13.

Easley has already played their next match, a 75-69 loss against J.L. Mann on the 13th. As for Hillcrest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-41 defeat against T.L. Hanna on the 13th.
