Baseball Recap: Edna Takes a Loss

Edna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yoakum Bulldogs. The Cowboys were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Edna saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Floyd, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.

Edna's record now sits at 6-15. As for Yoakum, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9-1 record this season.

While Edna had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
