It was fun while it lasted, but Central's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They fell just short of the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions by a score of 4-3. The contest marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Quincy Wilson and Bryce Bowers did some serious damage despite the final result: Wilson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Bowers went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Wilson has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 7-1. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Monroe Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Monroe Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they will challenge West Florida Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
