Basketball Recap: Fort Atkinson Takes a Loss

Fort Atkinson was the 61-57 winner over Milton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Fort Atkinson Blackhawks were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 64-63 to the Milton Red Hawks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blackhawks came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Red Hawks are ranked 92nd).

Fort Atkinson's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Milton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Atkinson will host Jefferson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waunakee at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
