Softball Game Preview: Laporte Wildcats vs. Sebeka Trojans

The Laporte Wildcats will square off against the Sebeka Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Laporte has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Laporte lost 11-1 to Blackduck on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Drakes: they've now lost seven in a row.

Laporte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatiana Wright, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Breelie Becker also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Sebeka was able to grind out a solid win over Hill City/Northland on Thursday, taking the game 11-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Sebeka's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Laporte, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Laporte got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Sebeka by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
