Basketball Recap: Central Extends Winning Streak to Four

Central extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Khaven Cochran. The Central Lions simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Harris County Tigers 58-24 thanks in part to Cochran, who went 8 for 13 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Messiah Boykin was another key player, putting up a point along with nine assists, six boards, and four steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Central's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Harris County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Central Lions take on the Mundy's Mill Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Harris County, they will square off against Jonesboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jonesboro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Harris County likes a good challenge.
