Silverado managed to slip by Liberty the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Skyhawks lost 3-0 to the Patriots on Wednesday. The Skyhawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Silverado was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Silverado saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marlee Fakatoumafi had seven digs and two aces.

Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but ARYANNA PAREDES led the charge by getting 13 digs.

Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Liberty, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-9.

Silverado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Basic on the 23rd. As for Liberty, they are taking a road trip to challenge Faith Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
