It was fun while it lasted, but New Deal's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Thursday. They fell just short of the Littlefield Wildcats by a score of 6-4. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

New Deal saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Bigham, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Jackson Attebury was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Deal fell to 4-1. As for Littlefield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

New Deal will take on Morton in a tournament on Saturday. As for Littlefield, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ropes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
