Football Recap: Joliet Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Joliet Central had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Romeoville Spartans. The Steelmen were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Romeoville, they now have a winning record of 4-3. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Richard Conley produced another solid effort throwing for 240 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 33 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (146.7). Romeoville's leading receiver Keilan Winfield was Conley's top target yet again, picking up 147 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
