Recap: Colorado Springs Christian Lions vs. James Irwin Jaguars

The Colorado Springs Christian Lions stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past James Irwin 91-15 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Colorado Springs Christian, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

Grace Minihane was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 43 points, 16 rebounds, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kinley Asp, who scored 18 points along with nine steals and eight assists.

Colorado Springs Christian's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for James Irwin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Colorado Springs Christian will head out on the road to challenge Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Buena Vista will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Colorado Springs Christian is ranked 48th). As for James Irwin, they will be playing at home against Rye at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rye comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
