Volleyball Game Preview: Montclair Cavaliers vs. Chaffey Tigers

The Montclair Cavaliers will head out to square off against the Chaffey Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Montclair is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Diamond Ranch just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-15 in the first set.

Montclair started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Chaffey hadn't done well against Don Lugo recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers came out on top against the Conquistadores by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Chaffey was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 19-25, 25-17.

Chaffey now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Montclair, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Montclair came up short against Chaffey in their previous matchup back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
