Baseball Recap: Regis Rams vs. Central Linn Cobras
Regis had taken Central Linn down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Rams took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cobras. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cobras earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Rook Smith was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Korben Schumacher made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Owen Eaton was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Regis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Central Linn, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
