Volleyball Recap: Sturgis Brown Comes Up Short

Sturgis Brown lost against Spearfish two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Scoopers lost 3-0 to the Spartans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-12.

Spearfish can attribute much of their success to Taylor Vitto, who had nine digs and two aces.

Sturgis Brown's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Spearfish, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sturgis Brown will face off against Lead-Deadwood at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Spearfish, they will challenge Belle Fourche at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
