Ivy Tolbert of
Commerce (Ga.) is high school girls soccer's national leader in goals this spring according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The 5-foot-7 junior has piled up 82 goals in 22 matches, outdistancing No. 2
on the list by 21.
Tolbert has also distributed 46 assists, helping Commerce go 21-1 heading into today's Class A Division I semifinal against Mt. Vernon. The Tigers haven't lost since early February, a span of 21 contests.
As a sophomore, Tolbert amassed an incredible 104 goals – including 11 in one match – and 42 assists to lead Commerce to a 22-3 mark and a spot in the Class A Public state championship contest. She scored twice but the Tigers fell to Social Circle 6-4.

In addition to her exploits on the pitch, Tolbert was an impact player in the fall for the Commerce football team. She kicked
two game-winning field goals in three weeks to help the Tigers beat Banks County (Homer) and Social Circle.
But Tolbert's future is in soccer and she has already made a verbal commitment to continue her career in the Ivy League at Cornell University. On the club side, she plays for the Gwinnett Soccer Academy in the highly-competitive Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).
