Softball Recap: Shakopee Takes a Loss

Shakopee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 10-6 to the Lakeville South Cougars. The Sabers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Shakopee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lakeville South, their record now sits at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shakopee will face off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Sabers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakeville South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prior Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
