Basketball Recap: Mcarthur Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

McArthur can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They managed a 62-57 win over the West Broward Bobcats. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 55-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

McArthur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Noel, who posted 17 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Noel a new career-high in points. Ethan Gonzalez was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

McArthur smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why West Broward lost, don't look at Matthew Martinez. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Avery Young, who earned 13 points.

McArthur's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for West Broward, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

McArthur didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-51 win against Piper on the 16th. West Broward has also already played their next game, an 84-46 defeat against Stranahan on the 16th.
