Softball Recap: Clarksdale Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last six matchups, Clarksdale finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the Lafayette Commodores, falling 15-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Clarksdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lafayette beat Clarksdale by a score of 17-1 later that day.
