Basketball Game Preview: North Lincoln Knights vs. Foard Tigers

North Lincoln is a perfect 10-0 against Foard since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The North Lincoln Knights will be playing at home against the Foard Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Lincoln has 12 straight wins, Foard has 17 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

North Lincoln is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since February 19, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-66 win over East Lincoln.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kellen Karr, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Karr is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 24 games he's played dating back to last season. Ty Sanders was another key player, putting up 18 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

North Lincoln smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 19 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Foard came up short against St. Stephens on Friday and fell 69-59.

North Lincoln's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.7 points over those games. As for Foard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-23.

Everything went North Lincoln's way against Foard when the teams last played last Friday, as North Lincoln made off with a 74-52 win. In that contest, North Lincoln amassed a halftime lead of 39-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
