Soccer Recap: Stanton Falls Short of Fort Walton Beach in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stanton can now relate to. They came up short against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Vikings are ranked 99th).

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Fort Walton Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season.
