Preview: Haldane Blue Devils vs. Roosevelt Presidents
The Haldane Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Roosevelt Presidents at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Haldane's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
Last Friday, Haldane strolled past Putnam Valley with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. Given Haldane's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Putnam Valley is ranked 484th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Roosevelt had to settle for a 50-47 loss against Ellenville on Wednesday. Roosevelt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Haldane pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Haldane beat Roosevelt 53-46 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does Haldane have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roosevelt turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
